Saturday

Josiah's checkup went well yesterday. He's stopped eating "food" like oatmeal and squash (that he was eating before chemo), so we're trying to get him to eat those things again to keep him growing.

He hasn't been sick since the other night, thankfully. He's not on the sleepy meds anymore, so he's much more awake and alert (and more fun, haha).

A lot of people have asked me this week how I'm doing. It's sort of a silly question, I suppose, but one for which I don't have a good answer. Like I told a good friend last night over donuts, I feel like I'm on auto-pilot most of the time. There's so much stuff everyday to do and to worry about I've lost the time to feel much. I'm not sure if that's healthy or not. It's probably not.

This afternoon, some friends are getting married. We're leaving Josiah with Merri's dad and stepmom (thanks guys!). We're praying nothing crazy happens, and that J doesn't get hungry right as Merri - who is a bridesmaid - gets on stage.

This week, Josiah's blood counts will start falling. Last time around, his counts did not go down very far, and they bounced back quickly. It would be real awesome for this to happen again.
