We just got a call from our doctor. Here are the highlights from Josiah's MRI today:
• The tumor hasn't grown any since the June 26 MRI
• The tumor has retracted, especially from around Josiah's brainstem.
• There are no new areas of growths, no new tumors
• The extra fluid in and around Josiah's brain has decreased, which is good.
Josiah's MRI is still quite unusual, and it is difficult to tell the difference between tumor and healthy brain cells due to some swelling and the fact that the tumor is — in some places — mere cells wide. Dr. B sounded quite optimistic on the phone about Josiah's improvement.
Josiah will have his feeding tube placed in the morning — very early in the morning. We're tired, but very excited about the good news we got today! Praise God, the Great Physician.

ReplyDeleteYippee! Praise for the lovingkindness and mercy God has showered on us today. Continued prayer for J's surgery tomorrow and recovery after. I am so very, very grateful and glad for the good news. Good to see both Merri and you smiling, and to play with the most wonderful baby ever. J has very kissable toes! Sleep well tonight and remember that His mercies are new every morning. Please kiss Josiah in the morning before they take him into surgery and tell him grandmommy loves him and is praying for him and his medical team tomorrow.

Oh i am so relieved to hear Good news, as i am sure you are also. There are no words to describe the joy in my heart to hear this news. I know it is hard to see from your side sometimes and you often ask the questions why, but God is blessing your family for your faithfulness to him. I am so proud of you all. Josiah is an incredibly lucky little boy to have Godly parents who are so patient, and so loving. I am so honored to be your friend, and to be able to watch Josiah Grow and progress. I love you guys congrats on the good news.
