Yesterday morning, Josiah came in our room acting strange. After Merri got up with him, he began seizing. We had to use the big, scary STOP medicine to get things to settle down, but he still earned a trip to LeBonheur in an ambulance.
Thankfully, Josiah didn't have any more seizures once we were at the ER, and his CT and X-ray shunt series all looked good. There's no indication that this was anything more than Josiah once again outpacing his anti-seziure meds, so St. Jude is making some changes to his dosage, and may be adding another drug, after some blood work next week.
We're all really tired, but appreciate the kind words, tweets and emails over the last couple of days. We're all home, and Josiah is getting back to being himself. Allison Mae has been concerned and — of course — very helpful around the house, including covering up her "sick brudder" yesterday with a blanket.
